Ιδιαίτερο τόνο στην εορταστική εκδήλωση έδωσε με την παρουσία της η πρώτη ομάδα του ΙΚΑΡΟΥ ΚΑΛΛΙΘΕΑΣ...
Οι αθλήτριες άφησαν για λίγο στην άκρη τις σοβαρές αγωνιστικές υποχρεώσεις τους, συμμετέχοντας με τον δικό τους τρόπο στη γιορτή...
Ιδιαίτερα χαρούμενες ήταν οι τέσσερις αθλήτριες του αναπτυξιακού τμήματος των Κορασίδων, που προωθήθηκαν στην πρώτη ομάδα (Κατιάνα Στέφου και Ιωάννα Καλομενίδου κεντρικές μπλοκέρ, Μάρθα Καραμαργιού libero και Στέλλα Μερκούρη διαγώνια) και είδαν το πολυπόθητο όνειρό τους να γίνεται πραγματικότητα...Η αδιάκοπη προσπάθεια, η ταπεινότητα και η διδαχή από τα λάθη είναι τα συστατικά εκείνα στοιχεία που θα δώσουν την αναγκαία διάρκεια σε αυτό το όνειρό τους. Άλλωστε τέτοιες ευκαιρίες τού να μεταπηδάς στην πρώτη ομάδα, έστω λόγω κάποιων ειδικών συνθηκών, δεν σου παρουσιάζονται όχι κάθε μέρα, αλλά ούτε καν συχνά...Στο χέρι τους λοιπόν είναι να εκμεταλλευτούν αυτό το θείο δώρο που τους δόθηκε, αποδεικνύοντας την αξία τους και δικαιώνοντας τους ανθρώπους που τις επέλεξαν να γίνουν μέλη της πρώτης ομάδας...
Στα μάτια όλων των αθλητριών έβλεπες να καίει η φλόγα της διάκρισης και των επιτυχιών. Άλλωστε όλες γνωρίζουν πως εφέτος είναι μία ιδιαίτερη και μεταβατική χρονιά. Ο ΙΚΑΡΟΣ δεν έκανε ποδαρικό με το δεξί στη νέα αγωνιστική χρονιά και η θέση του στον βαθμολογικό πίνακα δεν αντικατοπτρίζει την πραγματική εικόνα της ομάδας. Από την άλλη πλευρά υπάρχουν οι μεγάλες αγωνιστικές υποχρεώσεις του συλλόγου, αλλά και ο ανταγωνισμός, ο οποίος είναι εγκατεστημένος σε όλα τα ομαδικά αθλήματα. Συνεπώς το έργο των αθλητριών μόνο εύκολο ή απλό δεν είναι. Απαιτείται αδιάκοπη προσπάθεια και πλήρης αυτοσυγκέντρωση στις προπονήσεις και στους αγώνες...
Εκτός όμως από τη φλόγα που λέγαμε υπήρχε και οικογενειακό κλίμα. Όλες μαζί μια παρέα, καμία απομονωμένη, καμία παραπέρα, καμία να μην νοιώθει σαν τη μύγα μες στο γάλα...Όλες μαζί και ας έχουν διαφορετικούς χαρακτήρες και διαφορετική οπτική γωνία θεώρησης των πραγμάτων. Αλοίμονο εδώ δίδυμες δεν ταιριάζουν στον χαρακτήρα, θα ταιριάξουν δώδεκα διαφορετικές κοπέλες που υπηρετούν ένα κοινό στόχο και εργάζονται για την πραγματοποίηση ενός κοινού οράματος;...
Η χθεσινή ημέρα, καθαρά εξωαγωνιστική, απέδειξε ότι ο ΙΚΑΡΟΣ ΚΑΛΛΙΘΕΑΣ λειτουργεί ως οργανωμένο σύνολο...
Και βέβαια το τέλος της χθεσινής γιορτής σήμανε και τη λήξη των στιγμών χαλαρότητας και ξεγνοιασιάς για τις βολεϊμπολίστριες. Η επόμενη ημέρα θα τις βρει στα πεδία των μαχών προκειμένου να επιβεβαιώσουν τον όρκο τιμής που έδωσαν...
